Dacell’s load cells and torque sensors found in diverse products
Load cells are sensors designed to measure force or weight; they have played a critical role in measuring and weighing tasks in diverse sectors ranging from home to industry.
Mr.
Shin, Hyeong-gyun, CEO of Dacell Co., founded Dana Loadcell in 1989. It specialized in the manufacture of load
cells and has still continued its business even though it moved the location,
expanded the business, and changed its name to Dacell.
Entering
into the study of load cells at a company that put out electronic scales, he
has accumulated his own technological knowhow through numerous trials and
errors to successfully develop and supply sensors suitable for local conditions
at reasonable prices. And he had received
orders from Taiwan, China, and other South Eastern countries at the same time
of the establishment of the company, on which he could grow a load cell
specialty enterprise. Torque Sensor Measuring
Product
He
said humbly, “He just had luck. Twain
and China were unable to produce load cells at that time.” He continued to talk about his ensuing steps,
mentioning that he had done research on products necessary in the market and
benchmarked successful items to find more markets at the same time in order to adapt
the company to the changes of the market.
Afterwards
on, Dacell has included such items as toque sensors, multiaxial sensors,
indicators, signal amplifiers, and push-pull gauges on its product list; thus
it is not only selling the products in Korea, but shipping them for export to
as many as 20 countries including Russia, the UK, the USA, Belgium, Turkey, Portugal,
Morocco, India, Thailand, Malaysia, and Syria, achieving recognition in its
quality.
Dacell
has endeavored in developing products ahead of other competitors, including torque
meters (rotational, non-rotational, contact, non-contact) that are designed to
measure the rotational power of a motor or an engine for the first time in
Korea in 1998. It has produced diverse
kinds of load cells whose uses range from electronic scales to industrial applications
(for compression, hole type, and tension). pedal load cell manufacturer
CEO
Mr. Shin said, “In addition to the production of standard load cells, the
company is not only customizing specific-purpose load cells according to
customers’ needs, but manufacturing low-capacity load cells designed to measure
a force of 50 grams and high-capacity ones intended to measure a force of 1,000
tons as well as various types of ultra-small and ultra-thin cells” and encouraged
users to visit the company’s homepage for detailed information on drawings and
specifications. Furthermore, load cells
and torque sensors are two major products that bring in high turnover for the
company.
